Activities

An activity is a record of something that happened (or something to do): a call, an email, a meeting, a task, or a free-form note. Activities are how AnyCRM builds a timeline — of a deal, an account, or a contact — out of the day-to-day work of running a sales process.

What an activity can attach to

An activity can be logged against a deal, an account, or a contact, and can be linked or unlinked from any of those after the fact — a call logged against an account can later be attached to the deal it turned out to be about, for example.

Meetings are a richer activity type

A meeting-type activity carries extra structure the others don’t: attendees, a scheduled time and duration, a location or video-call link, and — when available — a transcript and recording URL. Meeting transcripts are what the deal-level call intelligence feature reads to extract talking points and follow-ups.

Where activities come from

Most activities are logged directly — by a rep, by an integration, or by an AI feature acting on a rep’s behalf. Some are synced from external systems (a connected calendar, a call-recording tool) rather than authored directly in AnyCRM; synced and system-generated activities can’t be edited or deleted the way a manually-logged one can, since they’re a mirror of something that exists elsewhere.

Relationships

Activities are the one core resource that doesn’t stand fully on its own — every activity is meaningful in relation to the deal, account, or contact it’s attached to, which is why most activity endpoints are reached through that parent record rather than as a flat, independent list (though a global feed exists too).
