# Regenerate Summary

> Rewrite this conversation's summary now, and return it.

Inline rather than queued, and this is the one place a model call sits on
a request. The caller is a person who pressed a button and is watching a
spinner, so handing them a 202 and no way to learn the answer would be
worse than the wait. Every other summary is written by the poller before
anybody opens the thread.

Read permission, not manage: this writes nothing a reader could not
already see and sends no email. Deriving a summary of mail you are allowed
to read is reading it.
